Discovery Notes | The sample was collected in a grass island in the middle of a parking lot, in between two trees. The top layer of the soil was very gravely, however the lower layer from which the sample was collected form was much more loamy. |
Naming Notes | The phage was named after the building where the lab was performed, Morrill Science Center at UMass Amherst. It was named MorrillRat because the buildings are very confusing and resemble a rat maze. |
