Discovery NotesThe local temperature of the area was 97 degrees Fahrenheit when the sample was collected on 8/22/15 at 4:03 pm central time. The sample was taken near a small local pond in Denton TX. The soil was dark in color, compact, with a pungent odor, thick in consistency, and clay like.
Naming NotesIn my lab, I had no trouble isolating the phage, thus my lab TA's always called me "OverAchiever". So I thought a good name for my phage would be OverAchiever because I think the phage is the actual OverAchiever, not me.
