Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered during the dry fall season in soil from a suburban plaza adjacent to a highway. Expectedly so, the soil consistency was on the dryer end. There was not much diversity of plant life in the soil, only grass.
Naming NotesThis phage was discovered near a Dunkin Donuts in my home state of New Jersey during the fall. Rightfully so, it was named 'PSDonut' (Pumpkin Spice Donut), an iconic fall flavor served at Dunkin Donuts (and one of my favorite seasonal flavors). If provided the opportunity, I think everyone should try a pumpkin spice donut!
