Discovery NotesThe soil that this phage was taken from was a compost area in a backyard of a house at 2:20 pm on January 12, 2020. The collection site was three feet from the backyard fence, covered in leaves. The soil was overturned and mixed around prior to collection. The collected soil was very rich and dark. It was covered with leaves, pecan shells, and scraps of lemons. The soil was fairly most and fine grained. The day was very clear and nice with an outside temperature of 52°F or 11°C.
Naming NotesThe name ParParJinx comes from the Star Wars Character, Jar Jar Binks. This is because I felt like a fool for being getting the former name rejected. Therefore, I jinxed myself with the hopes that it would be accepted during the approval process.
