Discovery NotesThe sample was collected around 9:06 PM on September 6th, 2018 the temperature was about 75 degrees fahrenheit, warm, with winds coming from the north at 3 miles per hour, and with a humidity of 90%. The sample was collected along the pathway to the Chevron Steps and next to wet green grass at (40.4448, -79.9609). Nearby were small bushes and grass. The soil itself was wet and muddy as it rained earlier in the day. The soil was both dark brown and green, probably from grass. The soil was stored in a room temperature, dark drawer at 9:21 PM. Left the storage location at around 8:40 AM on September 7th and arrived at the lab at around 10:28 AM.
