| Discovery Notes | Quin phage was isolated from a dry soil sample 1 cm below the ground surface found on Hope College campus at the GPS coordinates N 42°47.275’ W 86°06.359’. The soil’s location was next to a large rock six feet away from a brick wall; there was very little apparent foot traffic and traces of plastic sheets beneath the soil surface. |

| Plaque Notes | Plaque morphology was circular. Most plates had an average size range of about 3.48 to 4.41 millimeters. On some of these plates approximately 2-6 plaques were a smaller average size of about 2.43 to 2.58 millimeters - density dependent growth effect was observed. The outer edges of each individual plaque were significantly more turbid than the centers |
