Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected on 8/27/13 at 5:30 pm from a depth of 8 cm. At this time the air temperature was 29?C and the approximate moisture content of the soil was moist. The site of collection is a rural conservation area in a residential neighborhood that was once a pig farm. The area is flat with no foot traffic and is watered via natural precipitation. The vegetation is comprised of tall grasses, wild flowers, and pine trees. This sample was collected approximately 10 cm from one such pine tree.
