Discovery NotesThe soil sample was found next to
a goldfish pond and was moist from pond water being absorbed into the soil from the waterfall that ran next to it and the body of water itself. Before collecting the sample, the soil was mixed through with a ground spear used for outdoor lighting. Before hitting the liner of the pond that extended underneath the soil, there was about 4 inches of space from the top of the soil to the liner. The sample was collected at 4pm on September 19th, 2022. To collect the sample, the same ground spear used to stir the soil was used as a shovel. The soil went right from the ground spear into the sample tube, then put into a refrigerator at 34°F (1.1°C) until the next morning, September 20th, 2022, at 8:45AM before it was taken to the lab at 10:30AM.
