Discovery NotesThe phage, StanDitchman, was found in a ditch right outside the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology campus. Furthermore, there was day-old leftover rainwater within the ditch itself. There was likewise broken glass bottles and trash surrounding the ditch area. The soil composition was very soupy and muddy.
Naming NotesSince the phage was found in a soil sample of a ditch, the phage was named accordingly as StanDitchman.
