Discovery NotesThe ground was frozen solid, because it was 14 degrees Fahrenheit when we found our sample. The sample was taken from a garden on our campus, but all of the plants and greenery was long dead due to the cold of Winter. We found our sample on January 16th, 2024.
Naming NotesMe and my partner are both rowers here at Gonzaga University. On a boat there is a starboard side and their is also a port side. My lab partner and I row on different sides of the boat, I am a starboard and she is a port. So we combined our sides and named our sample "starport" to honor both sides.
