Discovery NotesThe sample was collected at GPS coordinate (39.328314, -76.624824) at the left riverbank of Stony Run at 15:30 into a conical tube. Unidentified herbal vegetation is prevalent at the site but woody plants are absent. The temperature was 27 degrees Celsius according to . Because the soil was under direct exposure to the sun, its temperature is likely to be higher. The soil is humid and contains multiple possibly organic granules and crystals. After sitting for some seconds, water began to appear at the top of the soil. Figure 1 shows the sample shortly after collection. Due to human operation, the conical tube was shaken after collection. It was stored up-side down for stability.
Naming NotesThe river at which it is retrieved from.
