Discovery NotesThe soil sample was taken from a dead garden which the caretaker stopped providing for several years beforehand. Any flowers that had been there had since been replaced with weeds.
Naming NotesJerry Jacobs, the one who took the sample, spent a lot of his free time practicing freelance writing in the garden. Velthrick was the name of the first character he had written in the garden. The name stuck as the phage proved to be stubborn and incorporative much like its namesake.
