Discovery NotesA five inch hole was dug to the collect sample, then a little more than half a pound of soil was taken. The soil was moist and cold from the snow and had a moldable texture. The sample was collected from a vegetable garden. The soil was dark brown with small plant roots, green vegetation, and bits of clay.
