Vision and mission
Established in 1970, the School of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences (FBIOYF) is part of the Public University Rosario National University. It is a free institution and is co-governed. FBIOYF seeks to advance social, economic and environmental well-being through the transformative power of education. The institution is committed to community engagement and public responsibility, working under the highest quality standards.
The four major interrelated missions are education, the generation of new knowledge, engagement with the community and technology transfer. To achieve this, we provide a large range of undergraduate and graduate programs; do research in basic and applied areas, offer specialized analytical services to the society and the industry; are members of two hospitals being in charge of a with a range of clinical diagnostic labs and community pharmacy; and produce medicines and drugs in our pilot drug production plant. Therefore, we aim at improving population's health, the development of the scientific-technological-productive culture, the improvement of the institutional and quality of life of citizens, respecting and favoring the care of the environment and the diversity of gender and culture.

Courses information
There are many different courses available to our students, distributed in undergraduate, specialization, master and doctorate programs. FBIOYF offers six different degrees in Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Science and Technology and Chemistry Teaching. Post-Graduate degrees include Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences. FBIOYF also offers more than 10 postgraduate degrees and more than 53 postgraduate courses mainly related to health, environment, biotechnology, chemistry and food.

Main organization
FBIOYF is institutionally organized in a matrix structure of 5 schools and 11 Departments which are based on 39 Academic Areas. This structure is complemented by numerous specialized service laboratories, which allows the development of very diverse groups and research topics as well as the construction of knowledge from practical experience and interdisciplinarity. Likewise, in association with our National Research Council (CONICET) FBIOYF holds six research institutes.
