Discovery NotesSoil was collected on 9/13/2024 at around 12:30 pm. It was discovered in dark brown dirt that was mixed with clay-like dirt. The soil was found under mulch in a shaded area at the entrance of a wooded area. The woods were next to a basketball court on a warm but not humid day. Worms were located within the soil that was collected.
Naming NotesThe reason for naming this phage Airball, is because it was discovered next to a basketball court. The other reason I named it this is because when it was first isolated it only produced one plaque, and I almost missed the plaque similar to missing a shot in basketball, or airball.
