Character of genome endsCovalent Terminal Protein
End Determination NotesThough not yet experimentally verified, we believe that it's likely that this phage's genome ends are covalently bound to a Terminal Protein when in the capsid. The evidence for this is the similarity of several genes to genes in phi29, a well-studied example of terminal-protein bound genomes. The genome size is also similar to phi29, and no sequencing reads continued past the genome ends, which is unusual in the case of a genome with 3' or 5' genome extensions.
