Discovery NotesSoil was picked from Lyngate Dog Park in Port St. Lucie, FL. Soil was picked in the afternoon around 6:30pm, it was very humid. At the time it was 83° F. The soil picked was around some trees and it was dark and moist.
Naming NotesArvo in Australian means afternoon. I went to take my dog to the dog park and thought this is a good area to pick some soil. Once I picked the soil I went back to the lab and started to isolate my phage and was successful. So as I was thinking of a name I wanted to pay tribute to the wonderful afternoon I had with my best friend dexter (dog).
