Discovery NotesIsolated from soil adjacent to the Seekonk River in India Point Park, about half a meter off a cement footpath in a small patch of grass. The soil sample was about 2 cm deep. It was collected on 9/10/15, a rainy day about 65ºF; the soil was moist.
Naming NotesAstraios is the titan god of the stars and the planets – but I just really like the word.
