Naming Notes | Austere Paradise, or AusterParadise as the phage is named, comes from a weapon in Monster Hunter: World. This specific weapon is a hunting horn made from Shara Ishvalda, the final boss of the game's dlc. Shara has two phases to its battle, one where it's covered in rock and one where it reveals its true self. Its alternate titles as "Earth Singing Dragon" and "Old Everwyrm" call to mind the environment that the phage is found in and its ancient evolutionary lineage. |
