Discovery Notes | The soil sample was collected from a potted plant that also contained biodegradable material such as eggshells and orange peels. The soil was moist and black in appearance and contained many twigs and rocks. |
Naming Notes | This phage was named TheAverageJoe because it seemed very average overall. It's plagues were turbid and they the phage was neither super easy to work with nor super difficult, just "average". |

Plaque Notes | Ranged in size, there were both big and small plaques present, but average plaque size determined to be 4.6 mm in diameter. Turbid plaques that form bull's-eye pattern lead us to believe that this is a lysogenic phage. The highest titer phage lysate collected was 6.0 × 10^9 PFU/mL. |
