Discovery NotesSoil came from the garden surrounding sweet potato plants and granadilla trees.
Filtrate was used to prepare a spot test grid and dilutions plate and after incubation, we observed two morphotypes - round small turbid plaques and round bigger clear plaques. The 10-1 plate was used to pick one of each plaque morphotype was picked and resuspended in phage buffer: Named a)Pick Clear AveryRose and b)Pick Turbid AveryRose. The neat dilution plate was flooded and a lysate was filtered named AveryRose
Naming NotesMy phage name is dedicated to my two-year-old daughter whose name is Avery-Rose.
