Discovery NotesThe soil was quite moist as it rained and there was a thunderstorm the night before. The soil was retrieved from my garden and there were different kinds of life and organisms around my soil.I retrieved it around 9 am with a shovel. There was grass and pebbles in my soil and it was a dark brown/blackish color.
Naming NotesI chose the name "Bass" because it is a shorter abbreviation of my name that my friends call me time to time.

Plaque NotesThe characteristics of my phage were that it is lysogenic and it has different plaque sizes. My plaques were a mix of clear and fuzzy but were ultimately lysogenic as more of the plaques were fuzzy. The siphoviridae family has a lengthy noncontractile flexible tail and an icosahedral head make up their typical shape. My phage matched up with the characteristics of this family. Some of my plaques were 1 mm while some were slightly smaller.
