Discovery NotesThe successful mycobacteriaphage was found in a sample taken from the garden near the Purdue Bell Tower fountain at the coordinates 40 25’ 37”N, 86 54’ 51”W. The sample was collected on August 31st at 4:50pm. The soil was taken from a depth of 2 cm and the moisture content of the soil was semi-moist. The garden is in an urban area that is less than one foot from surroundings and slightly sloped east.
Naming NotesThis phage was named Belle in reference to the close proximity it was found to the Purdue Bell Tower.
