Discovery NotesWest of Alumni Hall, next to Clapp Hall. The soil was very rich and moist compared to other samples. It resembled compost more than actual dirt. When places in the bag, it immediately started to condensate. The weather that day was very sunny, but around noon it rained slightly for about 15 minutes. This soil was collected at around 5:20pm and immediately isolated in the laboratory. The area where this soil was collected was covered by grass and trees, yet none of these offered any shade for the area in which the soil sample was collected.
