Discovery NotesThe soil sample was collected near the pond outside Ondrak Hall at Benedictine University. I chose this site because it was near a pond that may harbor a variety of phages. The soil had several worms present and was dark. Using a garden shovel I dug about 1 ½ inches deep into the soil where it appeared to be moist and contained twigs.
Naming Notes"Benny" represents Benedictine University, where the phage was isolated, and "24" marks the year 2024, when it was found.
