| Discovery Notes | The soil sample was collected near the pond outside Ondrak Hall at Benedictine University. I chose this site because it was near a pond that may harbor a variety of phages. The soil had several worms present and was dark. Using a garden shovel I dug about 1 ½ inches deep into the soil where it appeared to be moist and contained twigs. |
