Discovery NotesThe sample was collected from a TJ-Max in Fargo North Dakota at 7:30pm. The soil sample was dry, grassy, and sandy. There was very little human interaction with the sample site. There were ant hills around the sample site. Sample was collected in an open area with the only thing being around is an old sign within 1-2 feet of the actual collection site. The soil was collected at dusk. It was 81°F outside.
Naming NotesI named this phage BetoEischens to honor both my lab partner and myself. This name reflects our collaboration while also allowing my last name, Eischens, to carry on. Since my parents had only daughters this is a meaningful way to connect my work with my family, and also carry on the Eischens legacy.
