Discovery NotesThe sample was found on August 26th 2025 - it contained lots of debris including rocks, grass and extra sediment. Additionally The soil was sandy and very dry.
Naming NotesWe chose the phage name to reference the groundhog hole outside Leo Hall where the soil sample was collected, and included 'Big' because our phage consistently formed notably large plaques.
