Discovery Notes | It had rained the morning of collecting the soil sample (September 14, 2012). It was slightly cloudy, dark and grey with very little sun out, windy and 72F outside. Under a planted tree behind the Garcia Science Building at Del Mar College, I went in 1.5 inches to collect. The soil was dark and extremely moist due to the rain that morning. There were ants living in the sample, so I repeated the collection on the exact opposite side of the tree, again going in 1.5 inches. |
Naming Notes | The name of my phage is my son's middle name, whom also happens to be a cat. |
