Discovery NotesThis bacteriophage sample was collected from a mulch bed situated directly beneath a small tree. The area was shaded, and the mulch had retained moisture as it was noticeably damp.
Naming NotesMy phage displayed two distinct plaque types: large and small plaques. Through an experiment, I demonstrated that these variations were simply different presentations of the same phage. The plaques themselves were transparent. The smallest plaques were about the size of a pin prick, and the larger plaques were about half the size of a pencil eraser.
