Discovery NotesPhage isolation was performed by Team Pox-anne: Alex Chassiakos, Xiaoying (Sandy) Liang, and Ziqi Zhou. The phage was isolated by direct plating of nasal microcomedones obtained by a Biore pore strip from the nose of Ziqi Zhou. TA: Rocky Ng. Instructors: Dr. Frances Mercer, Dr. Krisanavane Reddi, and Dr. Jordan Moberg Parker.
Naming NotesThe plaques on a bacterial agar plate were reminiscent of Boba milk tea. The
capsid structure under EM also looks like a boba.
