Discovery NotesWe discovered this soil sample outside of Coughlin Hall which is a Freshman Dormitory at Gonzaga University. It was late summer at the time of collection and the soil was dry and grainy. It was collected on the day of Freshman move in so there was not as much outside contamination.
Naming NotesWe were talking about foods that we enjoyed and that are easily accessible to eat during our time in college dorms and butter noodles have definitely been a staple so we wanted to reflect that.

Plaque NotesWe had a pure phage colony with white inside and a clear outside on the plaques. We had several plaques on the bacterial lawn that were evenly spaced apart and there was little contamination on our lawn which took multiple rounds of serial dilutions and plaque assay to obtain a pure phage colony. All of our plaques are uniform in color and shape.
