Discovery NotesA soil sample was gathered on 9/19/17 at 3:10 pm outside of the Biochemistry Building at Purdue University. It was a couple feet from a tree and sidewalk and about 50 feet from the major road, University Street. The sample was taken from surface level in an urban area. It was moderately moist, causing the dirt and mulch to clump together. However, it was not muddy. The moisture may have been either caused from rain in the early morning, or sprinklers. In addition, the sample was taken right next to a drain and was surrounded by lots of leaves.
Naming NotesKierra Jammer and Abby Murphy used this phage as well due to the inability to locate our own bacteriphages. We enclosed our electron microscopy picture in Digest Picture File because we were afraid to delete the original Celestial group EM file.

Plaque NotesThe plaques are roughly 1mm in diameter and are completely clear circles indicating they are lytic phage. At relatively high concentrations, the morphology appears to change so plaques clump together to form one large plaque amongst small ones.
