Discovery Notes | This phage was found from a sample that was collected from a swampish area on the campus of William and Mary. This area is known as the "Grim Dell" due to it's often foul odor and unappealing appearance. |
Naming Notes | When naming this phage I wanted to come up with a clever name that hopefully makes people laugh. I picked TinaPhage because it sounds like Tina Fey the actress. |

Plaque Notes | After isolation I saw immediate results with the M. Smegmatis plate. I had around 20 plaques on my initial plate. As I continued throughout the processes of purification and amplification I observed that I had a low titer. |
