Discovery NotesThe soil was collected from a swampy area, found off of a road in rural Wisconsin. The spot of sample retrieval was on top of a hill near the location for the water sample. The grass was short and fine, and there were rocks in the dirt. The site was about 5 feet off of a country road. Trees, bushes, wild flowers and brush made up the surrounding environment farther away from the hill. The coordinates of this site is 313° North West, 43°27’21” N 89°26’9” W at 770ft elevation.
Naming NotesI named my phage after my cat who is also named Chase.
