Discovery NotesGroup (Tyler Chin, Alessandra Hong Lim, Isabelle Ruiz, Caitlyn So), Instructors (Michael Diaz, Joseph Ramahi, Nick Kapp). Alicia collected her sample at Zamora Play Area in South San Francisco during September. Her soil was collected underneath a tree in the play area. The conditions were moist and wet.
Naming NotesOur group adopted the phage from our classmate Alicia Chow. So, we wanted to pay homage to her by including her name in our phage! We used her last name, Chow, and played around with different rhyming words. We ended on Chowow because it sounded the best to us and we liked the way the spelling looked.
