Discovery NotesA soil sample was collected on 22SEPT2022 from the Mount St. Mary's University campus. The sample was collected from a soil bank in close proximity to the Grotto. The air temperature was 83 degrees Fahrenheit. The soil was moist, and light red/brown in color. The area in which the sample was collected had little to no
sunlight exposure. The phage was isolated by enrichment culturing at 25 degrees C.
Naming NotesI chose to name the phage after myself. I was proud of my work. I enjoyed the lab
this semester and enjoyed trying to isolate bacteriophages.
