Discovery Notes | Found in the soil near the Purdue engineering bell tower that had plenty of plant matter. The sample was taken on a humid day a couple of hours after a light rain. Other contributors to discovery are Connor Meek, Race Medema, and Ryan Buencamino. |
Naming Notes | When processing the soil sample, we found an ant in the bag we collected it in. We named the phage CoolBugFactsC5 in honor of it. |
