Discovery NotesThe phage "Curious" was found in India Point Park under the tree near water. The soil was gray and very dry and did not seem very fertile, but the phage was there!
Naming NotesThe phage was named "Curious" because it seemed to be "curious to see the world", but at the same time it did not show up very easily and did not allow us to see its DNA.
Also, in Ukrainian language, "curious" is a Latin transliteration of a word meaning "strange, and sometimes funny, event" or also "nonsense, desultory event".
These were the feelings that we often experienced working with our phage "Curious".
