| Naming Notes | Named after out beloved dean, Dr. Daniel Robison of Iowa State University's college of Agriculture and Life Sciences and in memory of his father Dr. Robert Robison who was a soil microbiologist and mother Eileen Robison who was a nurse and school teacher. Interestingly, Dr. Robert Robison solved a complex issue in early-gen antibiotic production fermentation system at Hayden Chem Co in Brooklyn New York during the 1940s by determining there was a phage infection! |
