Discovery Notes | The soil sample was taken from soil underneath an azalea plant. It was taken from about 3cm below the topsoil. It was 27.8 degrees Celsius when the sample was collected and it had been a sunny day. The sample was collected at a garden away from foot traffic. |
Naming Notes | The name Dann is short for Dandelion which is what the phage looks like in EM photos. It has a large head that is kind of fuzzy around the outside resembling a dandelion. |
