The sample was taken from the top inch of soil after removing some weeds that were growing in the area. The outlet serves to allow storm water to flow under walkways before spilling into a marshy area before winding its way toward lake Jovita. The area has moist soil for most of the year, often having standing water, and is covered in dense growth of simi-aquatic plants. |
