Naming NotesDolos is the Greek god of trickery and deception, and this phage's plaques can misleadingly appear to be two different morphologies depending on when they are observed. Given the overall difficulty in purifying and amplifying this phage Dolos seemed an apt name to reflect its deceptive nature.
