Discovery Notes | Found in moist soil. 5-8 cm below surface of the earth. No organic matter visible to the naked eye. No live animals found in the soil. The soil was from the yard where a dog lives. It had rained the day before collection. |
Naming Notes | The name "Dotzilla" arose due to the immense amount of plaques found in our plates. It reminded us of Godzilla and the way he could take over cities in the same way Dotzilla took over the bacteria. |
