Discovery NotesMy Phage was found at the bank of Lakeview Park Duck Pond, 7110 Holly Rd, in Corpus Christi, TX on May 28th, 2024, at 9:13 pm. It was a warm night with the soil temperature at 23.33°C (about 74°F). The soil was close to vegetation, including grass, trees, brush, and bushes. Because the collection site was right on the bank of the pond, the soil sample was slightly moist and stuck together. It was a darker color with pieces of sediment (wood, rocks, and animal feces) and was partially loamy.
Naming NotesThe soil sample I used was from a duck pond in my hometown. I've visited this pond all my life to feed the animals that call it home. Since it is a duck pond that I hold many memories to, i went ahead and chose DuckPond to be my name.
