| Discovery Notes | The discovery was made at Blackburn Hamlet's community garden, by a flower bed. Genomic DNA was sequenced using an ONT MinION platform with R10.4.1 chemistry. Quality-filtered (Q10) reads were assembled, producing a longest contig of 44,404 bp with approximately 49× coverage. BLAST analysis showed that this contig shares 95.5% nucleotide identity and 88% query coverage with its closest related phage, BuzzLyseYear (cluster F1). BuzzLyseYear has a genome length of 59,419 bp, and the assembled Dzair contig represents approximately 73.6% of this length. |
