Discovery NotesThe soil was collected in a wooded area by a University of North Georgia greenhouse. The temperature at the time of the sample was 62 degrees Fahrenheit. Conditions were rainy and moist. Sample was taken at 9:00 am. Soil was taken by base of tree and seemed very rich.
Naming NotesEPlurbisUnum was chosen because some of the first plates had different sized plaques indicating more than one phage. when one plaque was picked an isolated only one phage was present. This is similar to the meaning of e plurbis Unum, out of many, one.
