Naming Notes | Several centuries ago, humanity once believed in Ancient Greek Titans that preceded even the Gods themselves. Once the Gods had come to power, humanity was still living in caves until Prometheus, a Titan, bestowed upon men and women the power of fire, which would allow civilization to begin and thrive. Often times Titans are seen as evil, due to Cronos who was notorious for eating his children, however, it is seen here that Prometheus is responsible for the beginning of something much greater. Viruses are often seen as pathogenic, but the analogy between the two prospects must be drawn in order to understand that bacteriophages may provide the spark for humanity to continue to thrive and succeed in their endeavors. |
