Discovery NotesThe sample was collected on February 14th, 2018 from a patch of dirt outside of the Fresh Food Cafe, a cafeteria on Johns Hopkins University campus. The dirt patch had a few scattered plants, a small amount of grass, and the soil was fairly damp. The temperature on the day the sample was collected was 50 degrees Fahrenheit, and slightly cloudy.
Naming NotesI chose the name Eiffel for my phage after the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This was because my phage looked like a cute little tower, and although phages are microscopic, I felt it deserved a mighty name.

Plaque NotesThis phage's plaque morphology was round in shape, with an approximate diameter of 7mm. The plaques had a fairly clear circle in the center with an approximate diameter of 3mm, surrounded by a cloudy ring. The morphology after the final round of dilutions could best be classified as cloudy, or turbid.
