Discovery NotesThis phage was discovered in a sample of sandy loam from the border of a plot at Sandy Hill Community Garden in Ottawa, Ontario. The garden inclined slightly towards this border, which featured raspberry canes. Sampling depth was
approximately 5cm and avoided superficial mulch. Ambient temperature was 14°C and surface temperature of the soil was 16.4°C.
Naming NotesThis phage is named in honour of Emilia Schaefer-Hsu. May she grow up loving science and one day learn about phages with her auntie Kat!
