Discovery NotesTook five tries to successfully isolate my phage. My final attempt worked from enrichment found in the chicken coop of Full Spectrum Farms (Bag #6). This enrichment allowed for me to isolate both Gordonia Terra and Microbacteria Foliorum. I chose to work with Gordonia.
Naming NotesPrefix came from ESPN. I always wanted to modify this and name my first child Espen. Suffix came from the color green. I chose this because my agar plates repeatedly got contaminated and had a green hue to it rather than the pinkish-orange tint that it is supposed to have.

Plaque NotesPlaques were not isolated to a single type of plaque, but four plaques. Although this is strange my phage is pure. I know this based off of EM images the morphology of my phage was constant with same range in head and tail size. I also had to do 3 purifications before I moved on to further experiments.
